Terms and Conditions for Long Distance Movers Ltd.


These terms and conditions apply to clients utilizing the services of Long Distance Movers Ltd. Please familiarize yourself with our Legal Disclaimer, which can be found here. The following conditions should be read alongside our Legal Disclaimer and FAQs.


  • Our pricing is clear with no hidden charges. GST is NOT included.
  • If required, a parking suspension fee might be added, as determined by your municipality.
  • Hourly rates are billed for the started hour.


  • A minimum booking of two hours is necessary for special offers.
  • Offers are specific to the vehicle mentioned and not transferable.
  • Piano and antique relocations are excluded from promotional pricing.
  • Availability and timely payment are prerequisites for offer eligibility.


  • Securing parking at pick-up and delivery locations is the client’s responsibility. Any fines resulting from parking violations are the client’s liability. Consult your local municipality for parking permissions, if needed.


Privacy Statement: We value your privacy. We neither store credit card data nor share client details with third parties.

  • Payments should be settled on or before the moving date. Our company does not provide credit services.
  • Payment options: cash, cheque (provided 5 days in advance), debit/credit cards (additional 3.5% fee), or bank transfers.
  • Long-distance relocations (over 40 km) require a 50% upfront payment.

Timings & Delays:

  • Arrival times are approximate. Delays beyond our control might occur, and we can’t be held accountable for any losses stemming from such delays.
  • We are not liable for disruptions due to unforeseen events like road closures, vehicle malfunctions, or inclement weather.

Delivery Policy:

  • Packing materials may be shipped via a third-party service. Delivery times are from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Weekend deliveries (Sat-Sun) are not standard. Contact us for weekend arrangements.

Fixed Quotes:

  • Prices might be adjusted if the items exceed what was initially declared items.
  • Delays due to late key handovers will incur additional fees.

Cancellation Policy:

  • A $100 CAD administration fee is levied for cancellations.
  • Cancellation deadlines differ based on location (e.g., within Toronto) and service type (e.g., hourly versus long-distance). Fees vary accordingly.

Refunds: Eligibility for a full refund is based on the following:

  • If Long Distance Movers Ltd. was unavailable.
  • 30-day advanced cancellation (a $50 CAD admin fee still applies).
  • Failure on our part to show up without communication.

Insuring with Us:

  • Insurance specifics are available upon inquiry. Ensure that your goods are covered, especially high-value or delicate items.

Other Provisions:

  • Navigating large items through tight spaces is done at the client’s risk.
  • Misjudging vehicle size and necessitating multiple trips is the client’s responsibility.
  • Long Distance Movers Ltd. has the right to alter manpower as required.
  • Any abusive or inappropriate behavior from clients may result in service cancellation.
  • Workers are entitled to a 5-minute break every hour.

Hazardous and Unacceptable Items:

  • The client is responsible for disclosing any potentially hazardous items before the move.
